Zarebi are based in Hebden Bridge, and began singing together in September 2015. The founder and musical director Helen Curtis was new to the area and wanted to establish Georgian singing within the community. The aim was to sing Georgian songs with respect and awareness to their cultural heritage. To sing within the magical bond, feel and vibration created by Georgian polyphony.
It is the love of Georgian songs that bring us together and connects us in such a meaningful way.
"When Zarebi sing, they are so tender and powerful. There is such a connection between them and they listen so well to each other" Bengt Franzen
